Angel on the Lake

I walked along the waters edge,
Supporting this lonely, empty frown,
The water rippling at my feet,
My head sadly hanging down.

Suddenly I felt God's gentle touch,
It is something one cannot mistake.
He lifted my head and turned it toward,
The distant shore of this great lake.

Then I saw this pretty angel,
Extending out her awaiting hand,
With a glow of radiance all about her,
Standing silently upon the sand.

It's my prayer being answered,
Yes, my Lord does care,
But, God how do I get across the water,
To that angel standing there?

"Your faith will make you strong", said God,
"Your search for love will see you through,
I once parted the sea for Moses,
I shall do the same for you."

God has a way through mountains,
And builds bridges across the sea,
Trust in Him as we should,
And believe in destiny.
