The Ghost of You

I sit within this empty house,
So bare since you've been gone,
As I try to figure out something,
Like, where did we go wrong?

To this day I don't quite understand,
How this all came about,
As the ghost of you still haunts this place,
Since the day that you moved out.

I still see your face upon the pillow,
As I turn out the light,
I still feel your body next to mine,
All throughout the night.

Sometimes I even hear your voice,
I actually answer to those calls,
But again, that's just the ghost of
you,
That hides within the walls.

I am fine when I am outside of this house,
I'm gone throughout the day,
But at night, you still have me enchained,
With this ghost that won't go away.
